OEM / ODM MANUFACTURING
From the first brief
to the finished product.
Understand the decisions and review points involved in working with a custom toy factory. Each route is adapted to the material, construction and destination.
SIX PROJECT STAGES
Know what your team is approving.
The sequence below is a project guide. Costs, revisions, timing and order conditions are discussed for the actual specification.
01
Brief & feasibility
Share the design, product type, intended use, dimensions, quantity and destination.
02
Development & sampling
Review the pattern or model, suitable materials and sample requirements.
03
Sample review
Confirm appearance, construction, colours, branding and packaging details.
04
Production
Work to the agreed sample and specification, with process checks relevant to the product.
05
Workmanship & packing
Review finished appearance, assembly, product details and agreed packaging.
06
Delivery arrangements
Confirm destination, packing information and shipping arrangements for the order.
A CLOSER LOOK
Materials, construction
and a shared reference.
Plush and vinyl projects need different development and production decisions. The approved details help connect the design intent to the finished product.
Plush construction
Pattern development, fabric preparation, stitching, filling and finishing as required by the design.
Sculpted products
Model development, tooling or forming decisions, surface work and assembly appropriate to the material.
Product and market requirements
Discuss intended use, applicable checks, testing and documentation for the destination market.
PLAN THE ORDER
Agree on the practical details.
Before confirming an order, discuss the sample reference, specification, quantity, packaging and target schedule.
Product complexity, material availability, sample revisions, tooling where applicable and the production schedule all affect timing. Request a project-specific estimate.
Ask about documents relevant to the product and destination. Any report needs to be checked for the correct product, test scope and validity; no universal certification is implied.
Packaging and shipping requirements can be discussed alongside the specification, quantity, destination and delivery arrangements.
